Serie Diagramas desarrollada con el apoyo del programa Jóvenes Creadores del FONCA de CONACULTA. A continuación les presento una breve introducción al concepto del proyecto así como las 14 piezas que la componen. Ahora mismo me encuentro en edición del libro que contiene el statement de la serie así como de cada pieza.
A lo largo de la historia de la humanidad el hombre ha creado creado edificaciones religiosas o de culto en su búsqueda por trascender, en creer que el espíritu existe y que no somos meramente seres orgánicos que tienden a la desaparición. Estos recintos funcionan como lugares de conexión entre lo terrenal y lo divino, poseen estructuras y signos recurrentes. A partir de estas coincidencias se genera la serie encontrando la forma piramidal como una constante.

Through the history of mankind, man has created religious or cult constructions in the search of transcend, in believing that the spirit exists and that we aren’t merely organic beings that tend to disappearance. This places serve as sites of connection between the worldly and the divine, having recurring structures and signs. From these coincidences the series is generated, finding the pyramidal shape as a constant.

The segmentation of each building is based on numbers that follow a symbolism that is significant to each culture. All the signs disappear in order to simplify the structure, and eliminate references that are rather universal. In the inferior part of the composition, the surrounding terrain has been included as a geographical reference. A single color (red) is used, as an allusion to the color that unifies us, the pigmentation of blood, reminding us that we are the same species. There is no direct quotation of the name of the building, religion, culture or ideology and it’s synthesized under the title of the series: Diagramas, in allusion to the graphics that the manuals of mechanic or digital manuals have, due to the compositing nature of the works. It could have two directions of movement: one of expansion and another of assembly of the elements, but since it is missing a semiology that indicates the direction in which the bodies are moving, the reading goes for a sense of lightness in which the shapes are suspended in the space, a feeling of stability which is the aspiration of spirituality.

La segmentación de cada edificio se basa en números que obedecen a un simbolismo significativo para la cultura. Desaparecen todo los signos para simplificar las estructuras y los referentes ya en su mayoría universales. En el sector inferior de la composición se incluyó el terreno circundante como referencia geográfica. Se maneja una sola tinta (rojo) haciendo alusión al color que nos unifica, la pigmentación de la sangre, recordándonos que somos una misma especie. Se elimina el nombre del edificio, religión, cultura o creencia y se sintetiza con el título Diagramas, haciendo alusión a los gráficos que contienen los manuales de sistemas mecánicos o digitales, esto debido a la naturaleza compositiva de las piezas. Pudiese tener dos direcciones de movimiento, una de expansión y otra de ensamble de los elementos, pero, al carecer de una señalética que indique la dirección en que se mueven los cuerpos la lectura va más por un sentido de ligereza en donde las formas están suspendidas en el espacio, una sensación de estabilidad a lo cual aspira la espiritualidad.
